Yes, it does - journeys on bus and tram are included in daily and weekly capping. For example, journeys on Edinburgh Trams in the City Zone are included in the City DAY cap and journeys to/from the Airport Zone are included in the NETWORK cap. All journeys on Edinburgh Trams are included in the City WEEK cap.
Please remember to Tap On and Tap Off when travelling on Edinburgh Trams - tap your contactless card or device at a Platform Validator before you board a tram and when you leave a tram.
If you have Tapped On and don’t Tap Off when you leave the tram, you’ll be charged the maximum fare of £7.90.
Ticketing Service Assistants will still be working on the trams, and they will tap your card again on their handheld devices to do an inspection tap. If you have not tapped on, you will not be considered to have a valid ticket and will automatically be charged the onboard fare of £10.
The maximum and onboard fares are not included in daily or weekly capping, so please remember to tap on and tap off.
