All buses within our fleet are fitted with priority seating areas, which are located near the entrance and exit doors. These seats are designed to be more accessible, offering additional legroom, well-positioned handrails and with easy access to push bells.
Priority seats are intended for use by elderly customers, those with disabilities, expectant parents and customers travelling with assistance dogs or mobility aids. We kindly ask all customers who do not require a priority seat to make use of other seating on board, where possible, to ensure that these spaces are available to those who need them most.
Please remember that not all disabilities are visible. For this reason, our drivers are not required to ask passengers to move from priority seating if it is occupied.
The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower
Lothian is committed to promoting the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower and joins a growing list of businesses whose colleagues can provide support where needed. Sunflower Lanyards are available free of charge to customers and can be collected from our Shandwick and Waverley TravelHubs.
